Japan’s exports of medical goods to Russia jumps 3,270% in Feb

TOKYO, Mar 16 (PRIME) -- Exports of medical goods from Japan to Russia jumped by 3,270.4% on the year in February, as seen by PRIME in statistics of the Japanese Finance Ministry on Thursday.

But Japan’s combined exports to Russia plunged by 58.2% on the year to 33.76 billion Japanese yen or U.S. $254.53 million in February.

Exports of steel and iron products plummeted by 98.8%, of non-ferrous metals by 87.1%, and of paper and paper products by 54.2%. Exports of audio and video equipment plunged by 62%, of cars by 26.8%, of spare parts for cars by 74.4%, and of motorbikes by 11.8%.
